1. About Us
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of plumbing, heating, and related services by 24/7 Plumbing & Heating Ltd(“we”, “us”, “our”), registered in England and Wales, with a trading address at Unit 5 Loddon Park, Reading, Berkshire.
By booking a service, submitting an enquiry, or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Quotations & Estimates
- All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
- Fixed-price quotes are binding once accepted. Estimates are indicative only and may be revised if the scope of work changes.
- Additional costs may apply if unforeseen complications arise during the job (e.g. concealed pipe damage, non-standard fittings). We will notify you before proceeding with any additional work.
3. Bookings & Appointments
- Bookings can be made by phone, email, or via the website contact form.
- We will confirm your appointment by phone or email. Please ensure contact details are accurate.
- If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours' notice where possible.
- We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to emergency call-outs or circumstances beyond our control.
4. Emergency Call-Outs
We operate a 24/7 emergency service. Emergency call-out rates apply outside standard business hours (Monday–Saturday 8am–6pm). Rates will be confirmed when you call. Emergency attendance is subject to engineer availability.
5. Payment Terms
- Payment is due on completion of works unless a prior credit arrangement has been agreed in writing.
- We accept cash, bank transfer, and card payment.
- For larger projects (typically over £1,000), we may require a deposit of up to 30% before works commence.
- Invoices not paid within 14 days of the due date may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
6. Workmanship Guarantee
We guarantee all labour carried out by our engineers for 12 months from the date of completion. This guarantee does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or third-party interference.
- Parts or materials supplied by the customer.
- Fair wear and tear.
- Consequential or indirect losses.
Manufacturer warranties on parts and equipment are separate and subject to the relevant manufacturer's terms.
7. Gas Safe & Compliance
All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers. We comply with current Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations. Certificates will be issued for all notifiable gas work. We reserve the right to refuse work that does not meet safety requirements.
8. Access & Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide safe and reasonable access to the property and work area.
- Disclose any known hazards (asbestos, structural issues, etc.) before works begin.
- Ensure a responsible adult (18+) is present at the property during the visit.
- Ensure any pets are secured away from the work area.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate work if the site is unsafe or access is unreasonably restricted.
9. Liability
Our liability to you in connection with any job is limited to the total value of that job. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of income or business interruption.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
We hold full public liability insurance. Details are available on request.
10. Disputes
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us in the first instance at info@247plumbingheating.co.uk or 07502 195178. We will investigate and aim to resolve any complaint within 14 days.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Website Use
This website is provided for informational purposes only. While we aim to keep information accurate and up to date, we make no warranties about its completeness or accuracy. We are not liable for any losses arising from reliance on website content.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect any changes. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
